BW proudly congratulates our tenant, US-based Coherent Corporation, on the successful Inauguration Ceremony of its Vietnam new plant in BW Nhon Trach Industrial Park, held in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister His Excellency Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung and key leaders from Vietnam Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Innovation Center (NIC) and Dong Nai Province.

The company began its operations in Vietnam over a decade ago. With this new investment of USD 127 million and a close to 50,000 sqm high-quality ready-built factory at BW Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Park, Coherent – a NYSE-listed American leader in optical materials and semiconductors – reaffirms its long-term commitment to Vietnam’s thriving tech and manufacturing landscape.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung hailed the plant as a key step in Coherent global technology strategy and a clear demonstration of the growing confidence among top-tier tech corporations in Vietnam’s investment climate and development potential.

As part of the event, Coherent Vietnam Co., Ltd. awarded Talent and Nurture scholarships worth a total of VND300 million to Lac Hong University, Vietnam National University HCMC, and the People’s Committee of Nhon Trach Commune. In addition, NIC, Vietnam National University HCMC, and Coherent Vietnam Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the 2025–2030 period.
