BW INDUSTRIAL PUBLISHES DRAFT ENHANCED ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ESGMS)

As part of its ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices, BW Industrial Development Joint Stock Company (“BW Industrial” or “BW”) is further enhancing its Environmental and Social Governance and Management System (“ESGMS”) to strengthen the management of environmental and social risks across its operations.

In connection with its proposed financing from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (“AIIB”), BW is making available its Draft Enhanced ESGMS for public information and consultation. The draft ESGMS outlines BW’s proposed framework for managing environmental and social matters and reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen relevant policies, procedures and management practices in line with applicable requirements and international good practices.

Status of the Draft ESGMS

The document is an enhanced ESGMS currently under development and remains subject to further review, refinement and final approval. Accordingly, its publication should not be construed as confirmation that all policies, procedures, measures or commitments described in the draft have already been formally adopted or fully implemented by BW. Additional measures and enhancements will be implemented in accordance with the applicable Environmental and Social Action Plan (“ESAP”), where relevant. BW will publish the finalized ESGMS once the review and approval process has been completed.
